Fri 6/11/10 Barcelona

Our new hotel room in Barcelona - very flowery!
In front of the market
Walking along La Rambla
The spices at the market
Veal testicles at the market
Sheep heads
More organs
Today we drove to Barcelona. Once we got there was a mix up with our hotel and we had to carry all of our luggage around town for an hour. Once we finally found the right hotel, we dropped off our stuff, got a snack at the free 24/7 buffet, and walked the main pedestrian street, La Rambla. In the middle of the street there is a wide median that has the seating for the cafes and restaurants along the sides. There were also people dressed as various statues, gymnasts, and groups of men walking around with a groom-to-be wearing a sign that said, “Help me. I’m getting married”. We also went to a market where there were a variety of meat products including the skinned heads of goats, fetal pigs, and various innards of different animals. There were also many booths selling fresh-made juice – kiwi, papaya, mango, and other good flavors. We got to try a variety of flavors.
